We, the member of the Alpha Mu Phi fraternity & sorority are commonly called ANCHORIANS. We are currently 30 chapters and counting nationwide.
We establish a lasting brotherhood and sisterhood among ourselves, we develop the moral and social well-being of every member bound by our tradition, and promoting the spirit of democracy by empowering individual members founded on morality, with the help of our Divine Providence.
The LOGO of ALPHA MU PHI shall embody its Ideals, Essence, and Existence.
1. The upper half of the logo shall be the “SHIP STEERING WHEEL”, and the lower half shall be the lower portion of an “ANCHOR” connected and bound by a “ROPE”.
2. The center of the Ship Steering Wheel shall be round designed with the image of the “SEA HORSE” of a color yellow and dotted red with a green backdrop.
3. A small Greek letter representing the first letter of the “ALPHA MU PHI” (amφ ) shall be positioned atop the three (3) Steering Handles. At the front of the Steering Handles attached a Steering Board in a form of an arc written with words “ALPHA MU PHI”.
4. The meaning of the objects designed in the logo.
a. SHIP STEERING WHEEL – symbolizing a Nautical Control Symbol of direction and guidance by a Captain of a Ship of ocean or water going vessel leading to safe destinations.
b. ANCHOR – symbolizing a well-grounded hope as an anchor shall be a seaman’s last resort for survival in stormy weather. Made of solid elements characterizing firmness, solidity, tranquility, and faithfulness so as to remain firm and steady amidst the stormy waters, symbolizing stability of human character, an enabling quality of an individuals enduring and persisting amidst trials of life, affliction and persecution.
c. ROPE – symbolizing cohesiveness as it binds and holds things together so as to strengthen and enhance relationship towards family, community and among members of the association.
d. SEA HORSE – symbolizing strength and power as ruler of the sea with two eyes simultaneously looking to different directions expressing the virtue of vigilance.
e. 1954 – the year the organization was founded and shall be placed below the image of the Seahorse.
The AMΦ Healthcare Trust Fund (HTF) is an amount of money raised through contributions from members of Alpha Mu Phi Fraternity & Sorority. Those Anchorian who enrolled in the Healthcare program shall be entitled to claim cash assistance by the amount due from the HTF.
The AMΦ Mortuary Trust Fund (MTF) is an amount of money raised through contributions from members of Alpha Mu Phi Fraternity & Sorority (Anchorians). Those Anchorian and/or their beneficiaries who enrolled in the mortuary program shall be entitled to claim cash assistance by the amount due from the MTF.
EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 01 Series of 2022
“AN ORDER ON CREATION OF CITY AND FOREIGN CHAPTER LOGO AS A REPRESENTATION OF ITS RESPECTIVE CHAPTERS”
WHEREAS, the Alpha Mu Phi fraternity and sorority has a national logo that is used to identify the organization in which it embodies the ideals, essence, and its existence;
WHEREAS, there had been confusion to the public in the national logo of the organization due to various modified logos that were opposite to the national logo that had been posted on social media platforms such as Facebook;
WHEREAS, to help differentiate the identity between the Alpha Mu Phi national logo and the modified logos as a logo representing the organization, the Alpha Mu Phi National Supreme Chapter suggested that each city and foreign chapter of Alpha Mu Phi fraternity & sorority will create a city and foreign chapter logo so that it will be the identity logo of their respective chapters;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PATRICK HENRY P. DABLO, National President of Alpha Mu Phi Fraternity & Sorority, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order the following:
SECTION 1. CREATION OF CITY AND FOREIGN CHAPTER LOGO. All registered city and foreign chapters of Alpha Mu Phi fraternity and sorority shall create a city and foreign chapter logos as it will be the identity logo of their respective chapters.
SECTION 2. DESIGN OF THE LOGO. It should be closely identical to the national logo.
1. It has the image of SHIP STEERING WHEEL, which symbolizes a nautical control symbol of direction and guidance by a Captain of a ship leading to safe destinations;
2. It has the image of an ANCHOR, which is it is made of solid elements characterizing firmness,solidity,tranquility, and faithfulness to remain firm and steady. It symbolizes a well- grounded hope as an anchor and shall be a seaman’s last resort for survival in stormy weather;
3. It has with the image of ROPE, as it symbolizes cohesiveness as it binds and holds things together to strengthen and enhance relationships towards family, community, and among members of the organization;
4. It has the image of a SEA HORSE, which symbolizes strength and power as ruler of the sea with two eyes simultaneously looking in different directions expressing the virtue of vigilance;
5. It is with numbers 1954, as it is the year the organization was founded;
6. It has with words ALPHA MU PHI, and Greek letters (AMΦ) representing the first letter of the “ALPHA MU PHI” ;
7. It is with the name of the city or foreign chapter labeled on the outer circle of the logo;
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY. This executive order shall take effect immediately. Done this 14 day of January 2022 in Davao City, Philippines.
